July 2016 Calendar of Events Following is a list of City events occurring during the Month of July. Come join us!

Monday, July 4 Fourth of July Celebration in Oak Park
You are cordially invited to join us on Monday, July 4 for a day full of activities, including:
Mayor's 5K Race, 8 a.m. Run, skip or walk through Shepherd Park. Check-in and registration is from 7 to 7:45 a.m. in the Recreation Department parking lot at 14300 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park, Mich. The fee is $15 if pre-registered and $20 at the event. Race begins at 8 a.m.
Oak Park Youth Assistance All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast, 9 a.m. The Oak Park Youth Assistance Program is hosting its annual All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast under Pavilion One in David H. Shepherd Park from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, July 4. Pancakes, sausage, refreshments and more. The proceeds go towards developing area youth. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and $20 for a party of four.
Dignitary Interviews, 10 a.m. Oak Park High School journalism and videographers and the City's Communication Team are partnering to once again interview dignitaries before the parade. The interviews will be aired on OPTV15 and streamed on YouTube and Facebook. Interviews are held between 10-11 a.m. before the start of the parade.
Oak Park's Fourth of July Independence Day Parade, 11 a.m. The cherished and time-honored Oak Park Parade will be held on Monday, July 4 at 11 a.m. The parade begins at McLain and Coolidge, turns onto Oak Park Blvd. and Church Street before entering Shepherd Park. Feel free to spread your blankets on the City Hall berm.
Oak Park Fun Fest, 12 noon The Oak Park Fun Fest begins immediately after the Oak Park Parade, approximately noon to 3 p.m. in David H. Shepherd Park. Join us for a park full of family-friendly activities, including inflatables, petting zoo, games, activities, entertainment, food, face-painting, clowing around and more!
Oak Park Pool and Mini Golf The Oak Park Pool and Mini Golf course are open on Monday, July 4th from 1 to 8 p.m. The pool and golf course are located behind the Community Center and Library at 14300 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park, Mich.  For rates and rules, visit Oak Park Pool and Mini Golf.
