The Library is Open!
The Library will reopen its doors for visitors to browse the collections, and check out materials today Monday, August 10th at 10am. Due to COVID-19 and a commitment to put safety first, the Library is following a phased plan to gradually reintroduce more services.
Beginning August 10th, open hours at the Main Library:
- Mondays 10am - 5pm
- Tuesdays 12pm - 8pm
- Wednesdays 10am - 5pm
- Thursdays 12pm - 8pm
- Fridays 10am - 5pm
- Saturdays Closed
- Sundays Closed
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
What to Know Before Visiting the Main Library
There’s a lot to know about how visits to the Library are different. These changes have been put in place for the safety of our staff, patrons, and the whole community, so get all the details before you head over. Here’s what you can expect when visiting and how we will work together to stay safe as a community.
Safety procedures you can expect:
- Face coverings are required to enter the building.
- All patrons must keep masks over nose and mouth at all times; this is a requirement to use the facilities.
- Social distancing of at least 6 feet.
- Equipment, tables, and chairs will be disinfected regularly.
- A maximum of 50 people at the library at any one time.
- Grab and Go for patrons to checkout items. No loitering.
- 30-minute limit per visit
- Curbside pick up is still available
- The children's area will be closed for everything except the selection of items to be checked out.
- Return all material in the outside drop box
What you can do in person at the Main Library:
- Browse the collections and check out library materials.
- Register for a Library card.
- Enjoy "Grab and Go" self-service. Staff will provide limited assistance. Patrons can pick up books placed on hold and check them out with no assistance.
- Curbside Pick Up service is still available. Staff will provide assistance, patrons can pick up books placed on hold curbside and staff will bring them out to your car.
- Return items at the book drop box outside the Library 24 hours a day
