Oak Park Public Safety Citizens Academy

WEDNESDAYS, MAY 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31
The Oak Park Public Safety Department is offering a free, 5-week class for the public which will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm for those citizens who would like a better understanding of the day-to-day operations of a police and fire department. The Oak Park Public Safety Department is hosting this academy to provide a better understanding to the general public about law enforcement, firefighting, and medical first response (the primary functions of a public safety department). Although the Citizens Academy is not intended to make public safety officers out of the public, those who attend will learn a great deal about all phases of the profession.
The Citizens Academy is FREE for Oak Park residents 18 years of age and older. Return completed applications to the Oak Park Department of Public Safety prior to May 3.
To apply, fill in the Oak Park Public Safety Citizens Academy Application.
