The Oak Park Corridor Improvement Authority operates under Michigan’s Recodified Tax Increment Financing Act, Act 57 of 2018, which outlines the legal framework and powers of Corridor Improvement Authorities across the state.
Act 57 establishes the authority as a public body empowered to create development areas, implement tax increment financing plans, capture eligible tax revenues and use those funds to correct deterioration and promote economic and commercial growth.
Per Act 57, each authority must establish a development-plan-and-tax-increment-financing-plan.pdf , bylaws, development strategies and provide annual reporting of the authority's progress.
The boundaries of the Oak Park Corridor Improvement Authority District are shown on our corridor-improvement-authority-district-map.pdf .
Our bylaws and an updated strategy plan are being updated and will be posted here after they are finalized.
