OakAlert
OakAlert is Oakland County’s emergency notification system. It provides alerts for severe weather and county level emergencies.

Robocalls
The city uses recorded phone messages to share emergency announcements with residents. Robocalls are issued during urgent or time sensitive situations.

Text Message Notifications
Residents can receive emergency text messages on their mobile phones. A phone capable of receiving text messages is required.

Website Emergency Alerts
During emergencies, the city’s website will display a browser-based alert at the top of the home page. Alerts may include weather warnings, snow emergencies, traffic updates, construction notices and public safety announcements.
These notifications appear automatically when an alert is active.
eBlasts
The city sends eBlast email notifications to share news, emergency updates and important information. Messages may include weather alerts, power outage information, street closures, public safety notices and monthly event calendars.
eBlasts are readable on computers, tablets and mobile devices.
