The city’s Resident Services Coordinator Tim Ciechorski, can answer your questions or direct you to an appropriate person, department, or organization to help with city-related matters.
He can assist with questions, concerns, or requests, and provide up-to-date information on programs, projects, and connections to services and resources.

The City Clerk's Office provides services for the City Council and the council-appointed city boards and commissions.
The office coordinates all election activity in the city and issues specialty licenses and permits.
Other duties of the Clerk's Office include records management, mail processing, public notice administration, bid openings and Freedom of Information Act request coordination.

The Code Enforcement Division enforces city ordinances pertaining to animals, junk cars, grass and weeds, trash, property maintenance, blight and nuisances.

The Communications and Public Information Department serves as the connection between the City of Oak Park and its community members.
It informs, educates, entertains, encourages, supports and engages community members relating to municipal programs, services, developments, activities and events.

The Oak Park Corridor Improvement Authority was established by the Oak Park City Council in 2015, to ensure our commercial corridors remain robust and vibrant. CIAs work like mini downtown boosters for commercial areas. We use redirected tax money to fund improvements like better streetscapes and public spaces, to support our local businesses, and plan events, making these areas more attractive and lively.

The city's Economic Development and Planning Division is where those interested in starting, growing or investing in a business in the City of Oak Park will find tools, guidance and resources.

The Engineering Division is responsible for the planning, design and construction management of the city’s streets, water mains and sewers. The Division also oversees construction in the right-of-way and major land improvements.

The division designs, bids and administers projects including sidewalk replacement, water-main replacement, sewer cleaning and televising, sewer replacement and repairs, concrete repairs from water main and sewer breaks, joint and crack sealing, street maintenance and street construction.

The Oak Park Event Hub, completed in June, 2026, is ready for your event!
This 4,200-square-foot, all-season event space is equipped with integrated audiovisual technology, roll-up garage doors for open-air programming, a commercial kitchen as well as indoor and outdoor seating.
With an adjacent band shell and a massive grassy area, this is the next level of event and entertainment venues.
