 City Manager Erik Tungate is the chief executive of the City of Oak Park and is responsible for the administration of all city departments.
Among many responsibilities, City Manager Tungate is charged with supervising all city personnel, the preparation and submittal of annual budgets, enforcing municipal ordinances and implementing the policies of the City Council.

The Code Enforcement Division investigates alleged city ordinance and city code violations related to city parking lots, signs, nuisances, offensive conditions, blight, garbage and rubbish containment, weeds, rodent control, dog pound, animal control and certain types of parking offenses.

We are the Oak Park Corridor Improvement Authority, established by the Oak Park City Council in 2015, to ensure our storefronts, sidewalks and key infrastructure remain robust and vibrant.

The Engineering Division is responsible for the planning, design, and construction management of the city’s streets, water mains, and sewers. The Division also oversees
construction in the right-of-way, and major land improvements.

The Division designs, bids and administers projects including sidewalk replacement, water-main replacement, sewer cleaning and televising, sewer replacement and repairs, concrete repairs from water main and sewer breaks, joint and crack sealing, street maintenance and street construction.

The Mission of the Oak Park Library is to provide materials, services and information to the diverse community within the City of Oak Park to meet the community's lifelong educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs.
