This beloved annual celebration kicks off in the morning with a pancake breakfast, followed by our parade that marks the start of Funfest.
After the parade, enjoy a live concert, food court and a variety of free activities — including a petting farm for kids.

From 9 to 11 a.m. at the Oak Park Community Center at 14300 Oak Park Blvd.
Independence Day Parade
11 a.m. to noon
Route begins at Coolidge Highway and McClain and ends at Oak Park Boulevard and Church Street.
One of Oak Parks’ oldest and most celebrated annual traditions is the Independence Day Parade. We welcome thousands of people from all over southeast Oakland County to this event. Park your lawn chair on Coolidge Highway or Oak Park Boulevard. Don't forget your shades and sunscreen.
Funfest
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Community Center grounds at 14300 Oak Park Blvd.
This event includes live musical entertainment, inflatables from Oakland County Parks, a food court and more.
