PUBLIC INFORMATION UPDATE: Aug. 31, 2026, at Approx. 3 p.m.
**Please be advised that during the scheduled water main connection work, additional complications were identified that require repair. As a result, water service is expected to remain shut off beyond the originally anticipated 5 p.m. restoration time.
Crews are on site and working to complete the necessary repairs. The city will continue to provide updates on the project status, anticipated repair timelines, and available information through the city website and social media channels.
See update map below for affected areas.**

Be advised that scheduled water main repair work will take place on Monday, Aug. 31 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wildwood Street between 9 Mile Road and Kenwood Street. This is part of the city's scheduled water main repair and replacement program.
Notification letters will be delivered to residents in the affected area.
During and shortly after the work, some residents may notice sediment or discoloration in their water. This is common and temporary and is generally not a cause for concern. To help minimize the possibility of discolored water entering household plumbing, residents are encouraged to avoid using water during the scheduled shutoff period.
If you experience discolored water after the repairs are complete, run cold water through a bathtub faucet or laundry sink until the water runs clear. Avoid washing clothes until the water has cleared.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while these necessary infrastructure improvements are completed.
