ADDITIONAL UPDATE: Sept. 20, 2026

The Oak Park Department of Public Safety has been notified that the driver arrested in connection with the Sept. 17 fatal traffic crash at Eight Mile Road and Coolidge Highway was arraigned Sept. 20, 2026, in 45B District Court.

Tracy Darwin Sutton, of Detroit, was arraigned on the following charges:

• Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death

• Operating While Intoxicated Causing Serious Injury

Bond was set at $2 million cash/surety with no 10 percent provision. If released, Sutton is subject to home confinement with GPS and alcohol monitoring and is prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.

The next scheduled court appearance is Sept. 28, 2026.
