9 Mile Family Fun Fest

😎Mark your calendars for a day of family fun! The Oak Park Corridor Improvement Authority is hosting our annual Family Fun Fest along 9 Mile.

This FREE event will be held along the scenic 9 Mile Linear Park and from Seneca to the Sherman pocket parks (on 9 Mile, east of Coolidge):

Activities Galore for All Ages:

• Engaging activities for families: Local businesses will transform their spaces with interactive activities like crafting stations, bubbles, and games!
• Lively parks and sidewalks: Linear and pocket parks will come alive with face painting, craft tables, puppet shows, and characters!
• Thriving businesses: Local businesses will showcase themselves through sidewalk sales and family-oriented activities, highlighting the vibrant commercial district.
• And Much More!

This is a fantastic opportunity to support local shops and restaurants while enjoying the family-friendly activities.

Tower Tailgate/Lions vs Buffalo Bills 

Sept. 17

Kick off the season in style at the Water Tower Social District for one of the first games of the Lion's 2026 season. The party starts at 7 p.m. (game time is 8:20 p.m.).

Mingle with fellow fans, enjoy food and drinks from local breweries and restaurants and relax with lawn games and music.

We'll have two large, outdoor screens to catch all the action, but don't forget your lawn chair!

This is the perfect spot to kick off what promises to be an amazing Detroit Lions season. Get ready to roar!

🎉Dust Off Your Lederhosen—It’s time to party in the 11 Mile Water Tower Social District!

What's in store?

• Free entry! Come one, come all, and celebrate German culture

• Live German music, from classic polka to lively brass; the band sets the festive energy

• Food and drinks galore! Enjoy delicious food and drinks from the local social district businesses and a German food truck

• Show off your skills! Enter our exciting contests:

👗 Costume Contest: Dress up in your most creative Bavarian outfit!

🍺Steinholding Contest: Test your strength and endurance!

• Kid's Activities (4pm-6pm): We haven't forgotten the little ones! Enjoy a variety of fun activities for kids.

• And a DJ for dancing from 7 to 9 p.m.

This is the perfect event for the whole family! So grab your friends and family, don your lederhosen (optional!), and get ready to celebrate fall in style!
