A great park experience starts with everyone doing their part.

Simple things like cleaning up after pets, using trash receptacles and respecting park amenities help keep Oak Park parks clean,
welcoming and affordable to maintain. That means more resources can go toward improvements, programs and the spaces Oak Park residents can enjoy

Park Rules and Restrictions

1. Alcoholic beverage or marijuana use is not permitted in city parks at any time.
2. No sale of products, raffles, services, or fundraisers are allowed in the park.
3. No parking or driving on grass or paved walking paths/service paths is allowed.
4. Vehicles are ONLY allowed in the designated parking areas.
5. Only one charcoal grill is allowed on the park premises. Smokers, fryers and propane grills are not permitted.
6. No tents larger than 10 feet x 10 feet are allowed in the park. A maximum of two tents allowed per party. Tents must NOT have any sides attached. Tents may only be weighed down. Staking in the ground is not permitted. There are no exceptions.
7. Signs will not be nailed, tacked or otherwise affixed to trees, shelters, playscapes or restrooms. No signs can be stuck in the ground.
8. Loudspeakers or amplification equipment MUST be turned off no later than 9:30 p.m. At no time shall music be at a noise level that disrupts other users of the park.
9. It shall be unlawful for any person to permit or allow any dog or other animal, whether licensed or unlicensed, to run at large or stray beyond the premises of such owner. All dogs MUST remain on a 6-foot leash at all times and be kept under the immediate control of the owner or person having custody of the animal. All littering from the animal must be removed from any city park and disposed of properly.

• dunk tanks
• carnivals
• pony rides
• balloon releases
• glitter/confetti
• bonfires or open fires any kind
• explosions
• Caution tape or rope can be used to designate your area.
• cotton candy machines
• popcorn machines
• ANY type of third-party rental equipment including tables, tents and chairs.

These rules are subject to change.

Violation of these rules may necessitate removal from the property and notification of Department of Public Safety personnel.
