Each year, the City of Oak Park recognizes those in the community who strive to make our neighborhoods a showcase by presenting homeowners with Beautification Awards.

The application deadline is July 27 and this year we are asking residents to submit pictures of the home they are nominating.

Pictures should be in-focus and taken in landscape rather than portrait mode.

Pictures can be emailed to spounds@oakparkmi.gov. Include the home’s address and "BAC AWARD" in the subject line.
 
To nominate, complete the 2026 Beautification Award Nomination Form online.

Beautification Award criteria includes:

• Neat, natural, manicured landscaping
• Paint in good condition
• Bushes and trees cared for
• Concrete with minimal to no vegetative growth in cracks
• Concrete with no differential settlement
• Garbage cans not visible
• Gutters and roof in good condition from street
• No artificial flowers
• No for sale signs or commercial advertising signs in the yard
