When is World Dance Day?
International Dance Day is April 29th.

History of World Dance Day
The International Theatre Institute established April 29th as International Dance Day in 1982. The date was chosen to honor the birthday of French dancer and balletmaster Jean-Georges Novarre (1727-1810). This national celebration is designed to inspire global recognition of dance as a professional art form.
